What good looks like
A job connected to its source quote and ready for deposit, planning, purchasing, crew assignment, and scheduling.
Have these details ready
- The current quote version is accepted
- Required internal approval is complete
- Deposit, target dates, and major constraints are known
Run the workflow
-
Verify the accepted version
Confirm acceptance applies to the latest scope, options, price, terms, and site. Resolve requested changes first.
-
Open Convert to Job
Use the quote action rather than creating an unrelated job. Review readiness warnings and correct missing required data.
-
Set the handoff
Confirm job name, type, site, billing method, priority, target dates, coordinator, and deposit request from the handoff plan.
-
Inspect the created job
Compare job scope and line items with the accepted quote. Confirm the source quote link is visible.
-
Assign planning actions
Create tasks for permits, purchasing, deposits, or scheduling. Do not promise a start until material, crew, and prerequisites are checked.
Check your work
Do not call the workflow complete until these statements are true.
- The job links to the accepted quote
- Scope and selling price match
- Deposit and planning duties have owners
If something does not look right
Conversion is blocked
Correct the readiness panel's missing mappings or fields, refresh, and retry.
A job already exists
Do not create a second job. Link or document the existing relationship and escalate duplicate cleanup if needed.
